Statistics: Russia’s inflation decelerates to 0.12% Apr 30–May 6

MOSCOW, May 11 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation slowed down to 0.12% in the week from April 30 through May 6 from 0.21% in the previous week, and reached 11.78% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.

Prices for margarine led the growth, adding 2.24%, for salt 1.26%, for dry milk baby formula by 1.07%.

Prices for fruit and vegetables decreased by 0.2% on average, including the cabbage prices that fell by 3.9%, for cucumbers by 2.9%, for beetroot by 1.3%, tomatoes by 0.6%. Prices of potatoes rose by 1.8%, for onions by 1.6%, apples 1.5%, bananas 0.7% and carrots by 0.4%.

The gasoline and diesel fuel prices remained flat.
